'Active' Bus Tour

Bus groups will enjoy a half-day guided tour through the unique and picturesque Victorian village of Jim Thorpe, PA. Nestled between mountains next to the Lehigh River, this 200-year-old town has an amazing history, beautiful architecture, and many unbelievable stories.
Your tour includes an introduction to the area, then a bus ride through the historic downtown with discussion along the way. A scenic overlook with a 40-mile view starts out our visit with a true 'overview' and discussion. If time allows, we'll take a short walk on the historic Switchback trail, an important part of this area's unique story.  Our day continues with a narrated walk through the beautiful Victorian downtown and discussion of various aspects of history, money, architecture and some bizarre facts.
A tour of the Old Jail Museum OR the incredible Asa Packer Mansion finishes our adventure together either before or after lunch. Meals can be prearranged, and worked into the schedule as the group needs.  Call for details.
++This tour is designed for tour bus operators or group leaders, whose groups of 12-40 people can (& want to) get off frequently to experience the area++

The Active part of the tour is a walk around the historic Downtown
Driving the main streets is part of the tour, walking them is also important.
